Understanding FES – the benefits, evidence and how to access treatment

Home > Community > Understanding FES – the benefits, evidence and how to access treatment

For MS Patients

Watch this webinar partnered with MS UK – New Pathways and Emma Hooper, one of our specialist physiotherapists.

FES is particularly beneficial for people with MS, helping to manage mobility challenges such as foot drop by stimulating nerves to activate muscles, improving walking, stability and reducing the risk of falls.

A specific focus will be placed on the use of FES for foot drop, with an explanation of how it enhances mobility. A demonstration of foot drop devices, using images or videos, will be included for better understanding. Participants will also learn how to access FES services, including referral pathways through GPs, physiotherapists, and specialist clinics, along with information on local funding options and specialist providers.
