Microstim 2V2

The MICROSTIM2v2 neuromuscular stimulator is intended for the exercise of weak or paralysed muscle. It is designed to be simple to use with the minimum necessary user controls. The output stimulation intensity is ramped at the beginning and end of each cycle by pulse width modulation to produce a comfortable sensation. This makes it particularly appropriate for patients who may have elevated muscle tone due to spasticity.

Details

The Microstim 2v2 can be used for muscle training a re-education of movement. Modes can be chosen for reciprocal muscle pairs and muscles pairs that act synergistically.

There is also specific modes for the treatment of shoulder subluxation where the output from the two channels overlaps.

The first channel (anterior and posterior deltoid) will lift the humorous in to the glenoid-humerus socket while the 2nd channel (middle deltoid and supraspinatus) is used to maintain the position while the first set of muscles are rested.

The device is also used for abdominal muscle stimulation for the control of constipation for people with neuropathic bowel and IBS-C.
